The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is the national regulator responsible for maritime safety and environmental protection, and conducts Port State Control (PSC) inspections on foreign-flagged vessels calling at Australian ports to check compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC 2006 and other conventions. A deficiency notice — or worse, a detention — can mean lost time, lost charter revenue and additional cost.

OSS Maritime is an independent maritime supplier, not a government body, and this page does not imply endorsement by or affiliation with AMSA. What OSS Maritime does provide is the equipment, certification support and rapid-response logistics that help a vessel arrive prepared and clear a deficiency quickly if one is raised — SOLAS-compliant safety gear, Type Approved pilot ladders, and a 24/7 team that can reach any major Australian port.

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) carries out Port State Control (PSC) inspections on foreign vessels calling at Australian ports, checking compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL and other international conventions. A deficiency notice or detention can be costly and disruptive. OSS Maritime helps masters and operators prepare for, and respond to, AMSA/PSC requirements — we are an independent supplier and are not part of, or endorsed by, AMSA.
